TOP SHELF COLT. Look hard - just 2yo in December - and going like a stong 3yo already!

Check out these YOU-TUBE links. They were filmed BEFORE Debut turned 2yo. Not perfect, but VERY IMPRESSIVE for his age! Since this footage was taken, he has improved out of sight, and it is not too ambitious to say that he could easily win a draft NOW, especially with his outside work. He HAS NOT been pushed or rushed, he's just a freaky natural. None of this footage has been edited.

Will mature 15.1 maybe even 15.2Hh. He is just on 15Hh in December.

It's not very often that you can promote a working bred colt who you believe could halter and then turn to near any sport. This colt could easily entertain campdrafting, reining, cowhorse, in fact any western performance event, barrel racing, roping, challenges, cutting and any english class.

This colt can be COMPETITIVELY Challenged as a 2yo - which is very rare. He is going so well, with a lot of athletic ability and a great mind. Just can't say enough about him, and if he was a filly, money would not buy him. We are lucky to have a deep palomino full sister to him in our 2010 crop, and a chestnut full sister in the 2011 crop.

Their mother was a great competitior, and now at near 20yo, is still producing the real deal herself. Diamond was challenged at Cloncurry as a 3yo & a 4yo and placed 9th both times. She went on to draft winning many Juveniles and Ladies Drafts. She won and placed in many open company drafts, and was the kindest, calmest mare you could ever ride. She was a big strong mare, but soft as silk. Maybe a tad lazy in the yard, but a perfect mare outside. She taught many kids to ride, and took them on to win drafts. She was as good a mare in the bush with a scrubber mickey as she was a competitor. We are proving time & time again; that kind, competitive, consistent competitors make awesome broodmares.

Debut is very typey, with huge bone, and awesome head and the sweetest mind an attitude. Guaranteed quiet in any situation. You just could not make this horse be unkind, frightened or nasty. He would be the most user-friendly horse one could breed.

He was started by Harvey Wakeford in early May, and in all the years we have been breeding horses, we have NEVER seen a colt break in like Debut. The early photos on the sand pad in a bush background are all at genuine 16th takeover ride. The photos in the arena with the red saddle pad are a few days later at at about ride 20 with Harvey riding. The ones with our friend Alister Gordon riding in the black belt arena were taken at Grass Hut at about ride 30. He was spelled after this for a couple of months, then sent to NSW and started on Bison by Kendall Neilson in November. You can watch the you-tube footage to see him before Christmas.

Kendall has slowly progressed Debut to be absolutley freakish on Bison and cattle for his age. He is so impressed with his attitude and ability, he says he has to remind himself everyday that he not yet 2yo! Kendall believes that Debut is ready to win a draft on outside work, if he gets a kind cow in the yard. He has NOT been rushed along, and still needs further work on cutting out. Debut has been inspected by some very excellent horsemen whilst in the company of Kendall Neilson and Warwick Lawrence, and all have commented on his natural talent.

Debut has been used in Bison displays and horsemanship clinics leading up to Landmark Sale. He loves people, is not fazed by anything, and is at home in a crowd already.

One person said he watched Debut working prior to Dalby Sale, and as such then watched EVERY 2yo sold at Dalby, and could not find one going anywhere near close to Debut.

This colt will be competing in his 2yo year, and has the pedigree, maturity and mind to handle it. As the first ever broken in and presented Sheriff foal, if Debut is any indication of the Shining Sheriff* progeny coming behind him, there will be some very happy owners.

Nominated for Landmark Classic 2012 as Lot 429, and preworking on the Friday morning of the sale.
