Smarty is a VERY quiet and solid mare to ride. She spent 18 months with Kendall Neilson where she was used in clinics teaching people to campdraft using bison. She was ridden by many different riders to give them confidence chasing cattle. She didn't do any cutting out there, it was all tracking bison, and since she came home we've been in drought, so we haven't done much cutting out either.
She will be worked more on cattle prior to the Toomba Sale, and if time permits will be started in a draft prior.
We've done a lot of mustering on her, and the young girls we employ have been riding her the most. She is rock solid quiet and very trustworthy.
She's a taller thoroughbred type, quite elegant with a very long rein and fine head.
The photos of the guy riding her were taken when she was a 3yo. More will be posted near the end of May. We just hadn't taken any to promote her, as our intention was to keep her. She is only for sale to relieve financial strain of the drought.
