Nice showy colt with lots of presence. He's a bay, but has a dorsal stripe and wither stripes once in feed.

This is a real stallion prospect. Sired by Acres Destiny*, whose track record needs no further discussion.

Dam is Docs Twilight, she has just been retired at the end of 2015, and is one of 3 full sisters we own by Docs Spinifex*. All 3 sisters had great careers as Challengers and Campdrafters, and now are proving to be broodmares of substance. Twilight was a solid drafter and great cut out mare.

Excite was broken in by Harvey Wakeford in December 2015. Photos here with Harvey in the green short are taken at the Day 15 handover ride. He was impressive straight up, and then went back into work for 2 weeks in early March 2016 to further impress us all with his trainability and natural cow sense. Even after over 2 months off, he was still at the same spot as his handover ride, and continued to improve every day.

He is a niced sized colt, still growing every day, and is great to do anything with. Harvey has put an awesome start on him, and he could easily go to a cutting, challenge or campdraft home now.

He will be worked continuously from mid April until the sale, very quietly and correctly on dry work and cattle work so that he can enter any discipline with a calm correct start. He will not be rushed along to impress, he will be worked slowly, correctly and kindly in order to preserve him to compete well.

It seems like we haven't said much here, but honestly, it's so hard to explain how nice this colt is. He is just awesome! We have 3 colts aged 2 years, and we really did not want any more colts than Sheriff and Red Duck as we're getting older, and time has us beat to get these young ones ridden. So the decision to sell them has been very hard, and we only hope they will get sold to people who will love them as we do, and give them the opportunity they deserve to be brilliant.

Excite was photographed at Harvey's again on 12th May. Harvey said that in his time, he has never had a horse advanced this far in this amount of time. He has had a total of 10 weeks riding, including his actual breaking in, and he will be drafted in the Futurity Draft at HOTN. This is one very talented colt!
