ACRE MAKER

Acre Maker is a very impressive stallion by the infamous Acres Destiny.  Not only is he very correct in his conformation, he also has a naturally quiet nature and throws a majority of black, buckskin and dun foals that are in very high demand.  Competing in just a few campdrafts each year due to our work load, Acre Maker has placed in many drafts in North Queensland with Barry, and will be drafted more intensively in 2010.  With his limited competitions so far, he probably averages around 21's in the yard, and total averages of 86.  He has plenty of speed outside, but also is very controllable with a lot of natural rate on cattle.  He also has a nice, correct dry work, with good stops and very deep rollbacks. He collects up to look outstanding, and placed 2nd in the dry work of his first Open Stockmans Challenge, and 4th overall.

Acre Maker has done a lot of mustering, and spends months in a contract mustering camp situation.  He has an awesome length of rein and front end for a purebred Q.H., and is a big scopey horse to ride.  He walks very well, and covers a lot of ground in his strides, he's an absolutely lovely horse to ride at work.  He is very placid, and quiet in all respects.  He never gets even slightly tight, even after months off work, and is always a pleasure to shoe, load etc.. We breed Acre Maker using Artificial Insemination, Natural Hand Service and Natural Service in a paddock (he is an excellent paddock sire).

Every year we are more and more impressed with the standard and quality of Acre Maker's foals. They are big, scopey foals, with great front ends and a long rein. They are all pretty headed, and correct in conformation, legs and feet. The majority of the foals by Acre Maker out of our mares are very similar types to their sire, but a touch heavier in their build overall.

The Acre Maker progeny will suit a huge variety of competitions, and make excellent riding horses. They are in very high demand with Stockmans Challenge and Campdraft enthusiasts, and most are near sold on their mothers.

Acre Maker will be available for fresh semen and natural cover at 'Grass Hut' in December & January. He will then stand for paddock services at 'Lake Elphinstone' Nebo for January to March.
