Foals at Foot

HorsesFoals at Foot 2011/2012

SCROLL DOWN TO PHOTO LINKS OF OUR FOALS AT FOOT. They will be added as they are born. You will find a list of foals due in our Office Resources tab.
We like our foals to be born between November and January. In the 'real' world, the mares are very fertile to breed from December to February, and it has also very often rained, or is close to rain.
We prefer the foals to be born in the paddock, under close supervision of course. It is more natural, with less rsik of infections, and mares tend to foal out at or before their due dates, minimising colsotrum loss. Our paddocks are well shaded and grassed, and if the heat is extreme, then we stable them once born until they are strong.
Once the Mares are PTIF again, and hopefully their foal at foot handled, then they go out into a larger paddock until weaning time.
We sell a lot of foals whilst they are still on their dams, and offer interest free time payments on this option.
Due to the fact that our Weanlings sell so quickly, repeat clients are now choosing their foals to purchase before weaning.
Some clients are actually going through our Foals Due list, and putting a hold on an unborn foal, pending it's colour and sex.
If there are any of these foals that interest you, do contact us.
In the pedigrees, any underlined names or numbers will give you a direct link to that horse on their relevant Society Website
